Happy Monday, YA Buccaneers and friends! It’s time for the Monday check-in and hey, I’m actually on time this week. 😉 Here’s what I’ve been up to.
Last week was super busy. I released a short story, re-released my first novel with a new cover and formatting, announced the release date of my next novel, and also started planning my next project, a serialized novel. (Whew!) That’s hard to top, but it was the culmination of many things I’ve been working on for the past two months of bootcamp. I’m on a roll and I don’t intend to slow down.
This week, I’ll finish Witch Hunt in time to release it on Friday. That means dealing with my favorite thing: formatting. (Ugh!) But I’ve been following the lessons from the Scrivener Coach to do the formatting directly in my writing program, and I feel like I’m finally getting a handle on this thing. It only took me a year. 😛 (Would you believe that this time last year, I was copy-pasting my novel one scene at a time from Scrivener into a MS Word template, then turning that into an HTML file so I could edit the code by hand, and finally turning the whole thing into an ePub using Calibre? Way too many unnecessary steps!)
I’m also still in the planning stages for The Voyage of The Miscreation. I really want to get started on this but I’m still trying to take care of other things before I get wrapped up in the new project. I think I might do character development with some short stories before I launch into the main plot. Keep an eye out for when the first episode gets its launch date!
